Contracting meetings of the approved projects from the previous decision rounds are in full swing!
For each approved project, a meeting is held with the MA and the JS before the ERDF contract is signed. All the tasks to be carried out are discussed at these meetings to ensure the smoothest possible start to implementation.
Each Lead Partner will have the opportunity to discuss the start-up tasks for ERDF contracting. During these discussions, the projects will receive practical information on how to fulfil the contractual requirements and the conditions set by the Monitoring Committee when approving the applications. Further guidance is given on how to refine the application form to ensure the smoothest possible implementation of the activities, and the start and end date of the project is set.
The programme bodies – the Joint Secretariat, the Managing Authority and the Lead Partner’s Regional Coordinator - highlight the main programme rules to which the project partners must pay particular attention.
A detailed explanation of the steps to be taken in the Jems monitoring system is also given to the projects to help them through the contracting process.
As the unit costs for staff have been introduced into the programme in the current period, the related tasks - such as the assignment of staff members to the functions - and the mandatory documents to be submitted prior to contracting are also presented.
Reporting and project closure procedures complete the information provided to Lead Partners.
