Fertő-Hanság National Park Directorate
Fertő-Hanság National Park Directorate was created in 1991 and plays an active role in the management of protected areas, is responsible for a sustainable ecotourism in those and environmental education as well as development of international ecologic competencies. Via crossborder coordination of ecological monitoring activities and via common research projects the conservation status of protected areas can improve which is one of the priorities for the national park directorate.

In addition to accredited water analysis and expert work in the field of nature conservation for the state of Burgenland, the focus is on applied research, with bird research playing a special role in the Ramsar area of Lake Neusiedl. By intensifying cross-border cooperation, the Lake Neusiedl region's competence and competition could be strengthened in the area of birdwatching and applied research.
PP3 - Neusiedler See - Seewinkel National Park
The national park has been continuing its basic activities since 1993: environmental education, ecotourism programs, ecological monitoring activities, public relations and cooperation with all relevant partners in the region. Through the cross-border coordination of ecological monitoring activities and through joint research projects, the degree of conservation of the protected areas can be increased, which is one of the priorities of the National Park Directorate.
PP4 - WasserCluster Lunz - Biologische Station GmbH
WCL is one of the leading research organizations in the field of biodiversity, its researchers have made an important contribution to the analysis of the Seewinkel soda lakes. The organization has unique know-how about the compounds of the soda lakes. The project makes it possible to evaluate the organization's scientific findings regarding the Seewinkel soda lakes and to develop cooperation between other Austrian and Hungarian research institutes.
