Georgikon students on a study trip to Austria
08-11-2018Students of the Georgikon Faculty of the University of Pannonia were provided insights into the characteristics of the Austrian poultry breeding and animal health systems during a study trip in November 2018. The programme, organised by the Clinic for Poultry Medicine of Vetmeduni Vienna (CEPI project partner), enabled students to get familiar with several practical aspects of the Austrian poultry sector, an opportunity that would most likely not emerge without our joint project.

27-08-2018From 27th to 31st of August 2018, the 2nd CEPI Summer School on Poultry Health and Nutrition took place at the VetmedUni Vienna. Similar to the first CEPI Summer School in Keszthely, Hungary, this event was organised in cooperation of the Clinic for Poultry (Vienna) with the Georgikon Faculty of the University of Pannonia (Keszthely, Hungary).

02-12-2017Several exchange programmes are implemented successfully in the framework of CEPI. The objective of the student exchange programmes is to provide opportunity for our students to acquire knowledge complementary to their basic studies. Novel information include specialities of the poultry sector of the respective other country, emerging challenges in the operation of production enterprises, and potential ways of meeting these challenges. Furthermore, students of the institutions should get the chance to get acquainted with the professional activities carried out and the related infrastructure at the partner university. The key professional contents of our student exchange programme in December comprised current topics of turkey production and turkey breeding.

06-11-2017At the beginning of November 2017, experts from the Vetmeduni Vienna and the University of Pannonia got acquainted with a special stockbreeding technology, the so-called „Patio” system, near Palotabozsok (south-west Hungary). The system applied at Palotabozsok Ltd., which has been developed in the Netherlands, is a unique one in Hungary and in the neighbouring countries.
